I received my BA at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY and my MA at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY. In addition to my studies at WKU, I was also a consulting assistant at Leadership Strategies International where I aided in several consulting projects dealing with communication within organizational contexts.
My primary research interests are in the areas of interpersonal and organizational communication. Specifically, I am interested in understanding how intimate relationships evolve and are maintained. I have overlapping interests in mutuality and dialogue and understanding the hardships individuals encounter when interacting and attempting to understand others, especially those with radically different viewpoints.
