I received my BA at Georgetown College (Georgetown, KY) and my MA at Western Kentucky University (Bowling Green, KY). In addition to my studies at WKU, I was also a consulting assistant at Leadership Strategies International where I aided in several consulting projects dealing with communication within organizational contexts.
My primary research interests are in the areas of interpersonal and organizational communication. I approach research with an open mind and utilize the method most appropriate for answering my question(s). My research interests vary, but my main goal is to better understand how society influences individuals and what role individuals (self & other) have in shaping our social world. Studying communication gives me the freedom, expertise, and flexibility to better understand the worlds we create with each other.
