Peter Jesus Cruz Raposo

I am from Goa, one of India’s smallest but most beautiful states, situated along the blue Arabian Sea. I completed my B.A. in Philosophy and English Literature from the University of Allahabad (India). I completed my first M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication from Sikkim‐Manipal University (India), and nearing completion of my second M.A. in Organizational Communication from DePaul University (Chicago, Illinois).

My journey with communications has been long and winding. I have worked as a Journalist, Editor, Media Spokesperson, and in the role of a teacher. However, my affinity for Communication studies took a new turn during my stint at DePaul University. My encounter with Dr. Sean Horan, who taught me Instructional Communication at DePaul, was the turning point. Ever since I have been fascinated by Instructional Communication and the varied implications it has to my own professional background.

I was fortunate to conduct a couple of studies under Dr. Horan (under review) and a couple others in progress, where we extended instructional communication research to instructional settings in the Church. I am excited at the numerous possibilities that lie ahead and during my doctoral program I am looking forward to extending Instructional  ommunication research to other non‐traditional instructional settings, particularly in the context of the Church.

I love angling, sports and music. I play the guitar, learning to play the clarinet and dream of playing the saxophone.
