Education: For my undergraduate education, I attended Central Michigan University. It was at Central Michigan University that I was recruited as a McNair Scholar, which was paramount in narrowing my graduate school search and ensuring my place here at Ohio University. The McNair Scholars Program is a trio-program which helps first generation, under-represented undergraduates prepare and acquire the skills necessary for success in graduate school.
Background: I am originally from Romulus, MI, which for those of you who are unfamiliar with the area, is the home of the Detroit Metro Airport and Terry Mills.
Specialization Interest: I am in the Rhetoric and Public Culture track and I have a strong interest in investigating the communication systems that facilitate the objectification of women. This is my first year and I anticipate that as I grow in my academic career my research interests will do the same.
